To begin, we want you to know that we started with our own business & households (stories featured in The Houston Chronicle and Today's Groom Magazine). In fact, before we became an electricity broker or aggregator, Momentum Bay became one of only two EPA Green Power Leaders in Greater Houston. (Once we started selling 100% green power, we became disqualified for this program. But, we're thrilled to help each of our clients join the Leadership Club.) We are enjoying firsthand how it’s easy, affordable, fun, smart, neighborly & urgent to be green.
Humbly, we're excited to share the good news that, so far, after having reduced our electricity usage significantly, our choice of 100% green electricity has helped Texas by:
- not driving 37,000 miles or
- planting 3,200 trees or
- recycling 90,000 aluminum cans

‘Momentum Bay’s ‘green power 4 Architects’SM helped us purchase 100% green power at lower prices than we were quoted by REPs directly and by other brokers for conventional, polluting electricity. Our firm's 100% green power purchase was one of the first & easiest steps toward greening our firm. So far, our purchase has helped us avoid the creation of 250 tons of carbon dioxide and other pollutants, equivalent to planting roughly 50,000 trees or not driving 550,000 automobile miles. Moreover, the purchase qualified us to join the EPA Green Power Partnership and the EPA Green Power Leadership Club -- we're now one of only a handful of Houston-area companies recognized as EPA Green Power Leaders. Momentum Bay even came back & trained all of our staff about the business case for green buildings & about green power for LEED® projects. And, Momentum Bay’s green management consultants continue to help us share this understanding with clients who are considering going green but may think that green costs more.
